Where can we park when in town?
Currently, the Dock Square Parking Lot is open and available for parking. During the summer season, parking fees are charged on an hourly basis. This season we anticipate the charges to begin during the month of June, but the date has not been established yet. Please know that anyone who parks for 30 minutes or less is not charged, making it free for quick pickups at local restaurants and retail stores.
When will hotels, campgrounds and other lodging accommodations open?
Lodging accommodations are permitted by the state of Maine to open on June 1, 2020 by committing to and following the Maine DECD re-opening checklists. Hotels are open for residents of the State of Maine ONLY in June.
Are the retail shops open in town?

When will restaurants be permitted to open in Kennebunkport?

What is the status of the public bathrooms?
The Dock Square restrooms are currently not open. Restrooms are anticipated to open in the month of June. Public health concerns and the need to limit the spread of COVID-19 will limit the number of people allowed in the restrooms at any one time. The town is committed to sanitation guidelines that meet the State of Mane guidance and the Center for Disease Control protocols.
Are the beaches open to the public?
The beaches in Kennebunkport are open for walking, however beach parking spots are not open at this time. The selectmen and the Goose Rock Beach Committee are developing a plan for beach parking and passes, which is anticipated shortly.
What is the status of the Memorial Day Parade?
Due to public health concerns for both our veterans and the general public, the annual Memorial Day Parade has been cancelled. We hope that everyone will honor our veterans through the display of the American flag, thanking veterans and consider donating to your local American Legion post.
What is the status of the 4th of July fireworks?
Currently, the annual Fourth of July festivities are on hold as we gather more guidance from the State of Maine and the Center for Disease Control.
Are beach bonfires permitted?
This year, beach fire permits will not be available as we seek to limit congregating and the spread of COVID-19.
What is the schedule for trash removal in Kennebunkport?
The town’s trash removal schedule has continued as normal. You can find the schedule at https://www.kennebunkportme.gov/solid-waste-recycling/pages/trash-days-street. Trash collection occurs on Fridays in the Goose Rocks Beach area in the spring, fall and winter. In the summer, the collection schedule changes to Saturdays beginning on June 13 until September 26. Friday trash collection will resume on Friday, October 2, 2020. Hours of collection start at 6:30 a.m.
